Effect of Staff ID Changes

The Staff ID for whom the appointment is originally created can be changed on the Treatment screen. This makes it possible to schedule a room rather than a physician. If the clinic has rotating physicians, the schedule can be created using a Staff ID of, for example, EXAM-RM2. When the patient arrives, the treating physician's ID can then be entered.

Ensure that when the orders for this patient are marked Done, the treating physician's ID is in the Done By field. The contents of the Done By field are copied to the invoice as the provider of service (unless there is a substitute ID listed in the person's Medical Staff record.
