Units
The Units choice establishes work zones or sub-categories of a job. Units can indicate discrete physical areas such as the emergency room, surgical wing, the 1st floor, etc. Or a Unit can be a category of risk based on the type of work an employee does (for example, needing TB screening on a 6 month basis).
Assign an employee to a particular zone by entering the Unit ID in the employee's current Job History record (see Job History). In the event of exposure to a pathogen in a particular unit of the building, create a list of potentially at-risk employees and view the status of their immunization for that pathogen by printing the Exposure Risk report.
