Appointment Tabs

The left side of the Clinical Work Area contains two appointment tabs: Schedule and Patient Tracker. The Schedule tab displays a one-day appointment schedule for a particular staff member, while the Patient Tracker tab allows users to search through patient appointments and view a list of results. Providers can use both tabs to view appointment schedule information and to select an individual appointment.

The information needed to create an appointment is entered into fields on the Appointment Register screen prior to the patient visit. Five of those fields (Arrived, In, Out, Room, and Pt. Status) cannot be completed until after the patient arrives. These same five fields appear on the CWA Schedule tab, and data can be entered or modified there throughout the course of the patient visit. Information from those fields appear in the search results area of the Patient Tracker tab. Changes made on one screen will be reflected in all other views of that field, but only after data have been refreshed on the screen being viewed.

Note: You may need to refresh the schedule tabs frequently to see if other users have made changes in the Arrived, In, Out, Room, and Pt. Status fields. Make it a habit to refresh this screen between patients.
