Search Quick Guide

  1. Begin in the search area of the List view section of the desired option.
  2. If necessary, clear criteria fields individually by clicking on the adjacent C button, or all three lines at once with the Clear button (Alt+C).
  3. If using only one search criterion, complete the line that contains the default field name appropriate to your search. If you don't see the field you want, choose one from the drop-down menu.
  4. Choose the logical operator that is appropriate to your search and compatible with the field name. For text fields, Contains is a good choice.
  5. Type the value in the third column.
  6. If using multiple search criteria, repeat steps 3 through 5 for each additional line used, making sure that the most general search is expressed on the top line and the most specific search is last.
  7. Click on the Search button (Alt+S) to initiate search. Results display in the List view. The first item in the list will display on the data screen, and the focus will be in the list view.
  8. If the Retrieve button is active, click it (Alt+R) until it becomes dim (to retrieve all results), then use the scroll bar to view items not immediately visible, or press Ctrl+L to view more lines at once. (Press Ctrl+T to restore the Split screen view.)
  9. If the desired item is visible but not selected, double-click on it to select or arrow down to the desired item and press Enter.
