Defining the Recall Series

  1. Go to File Maintenance > Setup Orders > Recall Series.
  2. Create a record for each timed event in the series. For Hepatitis B, you will need at least a HEPB1, HEPB2, and HEPB3 record.
  3. In the Task ID, enter the task prototype for the first task in the series. This ID remains the same for all records in the series (e.g., HEPB1 is the Task ID for every record in the Hepatitis B series, not just the first record). Sometimes the entire series is just one task that needs to be done repeatedly, such as a DOT physical or tuberculosis skin test. In such cases, there will be just one record in the series, and the Task ID and Recall Task ID are identical.
  4. In the Recall Task ID, enter the task prototype for a subsequent task in the series.
  5. In Number of Days, specify the days that must elapse between the Task ID (the initiating event) and the Recall Task ID.
  6. To have the recalls created automatically, without asking the user a question, check the Auto Add Recall box (recommended in most cases).
  7. Continue creating recall records until every event in the series has a record.
