Work Flow Sequences Quick Guide

  1. Research the stages and personnel for work in your clinic.
    1. Doing the service / task.
    2. Finishing data entry, using a form or a SYSTOC screen.
    3. Waiting for results.
    4. Getting a signature.
    5. Printing reports or the completed form.
    6. Sending results.
    7. Posting charge for the service (normally not in the work flow sequence, as there are other ways to track that it gets done, see Billing.
  2. Enter each step.
    1. Click the Add New button to clear the new sequence working area. The first available sequence number appears.
    2. Default Status describes the work for this step.
    3. Default Work Group describes the type of person who should do it.
    4. Default Owner makes a particular person responsible. Avoid using this, unless you pick the more generic {Sch.ID} or {DoneBy}.
    5. Typically check Set the Done flag on the first sequence after the Provider or Nurse activity, but be careful, see Marking an Order Done Automatically.
  3. Save.
    1. Click Save Sequence and repeat until done.
    2. Be sure to create a Through/Finished step at the end.
