Importing an Image

Both the Signing Tool and the Stamp Tool can be used to apply an image to a PDF document. The image could be a signature; it could be a comment, such as "Approved" or "Reviewed"; or it could be a shape, such as a circle, that is used to draw attention to a body part or text. Such image files are created in other applications in .gif, .tif, .png, .jpg, or .bmp format and imported via the Signing Tool.

The following steps outline the procedure for importing a signature or other image file using the Signing Tool.

  1. From any orders grid, open a PDF form.
  2. Right-click and select the Sign Here option to display the Signature window.
  3. Click the Import button.
  4. Browse to the desired file, select it, and click Open.
  5. When prompted, enter a name for the image. This name will display in the selection list in the signing tool (Saved Signatures/Images tab) as well as the stamp tool.
  6. View the image in the capture window of the signing tool.
    • If you are not satisfied with the signature/image, click the Delete button, modify the image (in the graphic editing software), and import the new file.
    • If the image is acceptable, close the Signature window.
  7. Click the Exit button to close the form, but do not save it if prompted.
