Program Flow

Notice that the buttons on the left side of the screen are numbered. This is to help you execute the steps of the process in the proper order.

  1. Create Temp Fee File. This button creates a file containing all of the existing fee codes in SYSTOC that are charges. User rights to the Fee table in SYSTOC will be temporarily removed, to ensure that no one can make changes while the Fee Change Program is being used. (However, this rights change does not go into effect until the next day, see item 4 under Cautions, above.) Once used, the Create Temp Fee File button becomes inaccessible until SYSTOC's fee file is updated.
  2. Batch Update Panel. This is the section of the screen to the right of the buttons column, and is used to make your changes. It is discussed in more detail below under Changing Fees.
  3. Save Grid to Temp File. If the changes reflected in the grid are satisfactory, use this button to save them. This should be done periodically, in case you need to revert to a previously saved version to eliminate unwanted changes.
  4. View All Changes. This will activate Internet Explorer and show all of the changes made since the initial creation of the Temp Fee File. Prior to updating SYSTOC, you can verify that all the changes are what you expect (make a printout using Ctrl P). To close this report, close the internet browser window.
  5. Update SYSTOC:This button will reload SYSTOC with the changes you have saved to file, and will restore User rights to the fee table in SYSTOC.
