Print Forms Using the Form Print Button

To prepare for the day's activity, the clinic using a paper-based system prints the flow sheets and forms before the clinic opens, or may prefer to print each flow sheet when the patient arrives. If your forms are available pre-printed, you may wish to print labels instead of forms, using any of the various Form Labels reports.

The Form Print button on the Appointment Register screen will print the Flow Sheet and any forms attached to orders for the appointment that have been marked as printable with this button. If you are running your office as a "paperless" environment, you will not need the paper flow sheets because you will be working from the computer screen displaying the orders. The forms that will be completed on the computer also do not need to be printed, but forms the patient completes in the waiting room do need printing. Which forms print from the button is controlled by the Print from Form Print field on the task prototype. See Defining Task Prototypes.
