SYSTOC Components

This section is used to set location sensitivity for applicable modules and forms. If you wish to share data among your locations, leave the components at the default. If, however, you want to set certain modules so that each location can only view its own data, you must come to this section and place a check mark in the Location Sensitive field for the modules that will not be shared.

Note: Only modules that incorporate Location IDs in their functionality will respond to the use of the Location Sensitive check box.

Typically, portions of the Injury, Billing, Screening, and/or Appointments/Orders modules are not shared. The location sensitive screens in these areas of the system can automatically be designated as non-sharing by using the Mark buttons provided at the bottom of the Components screen. Use the Unmark buttons to return these sections to the default setting.

To designate any other areas of the system as non-shared you will need to identify and mark as location sensitive all the individual forms in those area. To do this, search on the component name and then select the appropriate forms to mark Location Sensitive. Use the SYSTOC Forms and Modules report to assist in identifying specific components. This report is also useful when setting up security restrictions or determining an appropriate location for adding reports. The File Maintenance, Company, and Patient modules are all shared. Note: Location sensitivity does not apply to User Defined Applications (UDAs), custom interfaces, or imports/exports.

Label Description

Component Name

Descriptive name of the section.

Form Name

The form name as SYSTOC uses it.

Table Name

The database name.

Location Sensitive

Select the checkbox if you want to make this data location sensitive, so that only users with the correct Location ID can view the data.

Menu choices that take a user to this form.

Mark/Unmark Sections as Location Sensitive

Use the Mark button to automatically check the Location Sensitive field on all components of the Injury, Billing, Screening, and/or Appointments/Orders sections that have Locations IDs; screens without Location IDs will remain unchecked. Remove these checks by using the Unmark buttons.
