Appointment Register Navigation Buttons

The Appointment Register screen can be used as a home base to rapidly access other portions of SYSTOC that are needed to handle the encounter with the patient.

If you came here from the schedule grid, you will be in either Add mode (if you clicked on a time slot) or Edit mode (if an appointment was active on the schedule). If you want to retrieve an appointment without going back to the schedule, use the Search at the top of the screen to locate the appointment you need.

Button Action

Med History

Jump to the Medical History screen to enter vitals, immunizations, prescriptions, or view past injuries. For more information, see Medical History.

Injury/Illness Visit

Rehab Visit

This button accesses the Inj/Ill Visit or the Rehab screens, depending on settings. These specialized screens provide a composite view of information about an injury/illness or rehabilitation case. The Inj/Ill Visit screen will appear if an Injury ID is specified on the appointment register and the appointment Code does not specify Rehabilitation.

Treatment

Jump to the Treatment record for this visit (requires an Injury ID). For more information, see Treatment. The Inj/Ill Visit screen and the Clinical Work Area both contain nearly all the information on the Treatment screen and are easier to use, but if you need to use Authorizations, you should use the Treatment screen. Under rare circumstances, this button may say Attach Treatment instead. This may occur if an appointment with an attached treatment has been deleted inappropriately. The treatment can be reattached to the appointment with this button.

Find Appt in Schedule

Jump to the schedule grid view of the currently-active appointment.

Schedule

Jump to wherever you were in the schedule grid when you left it. Note that this may not be the grid for the currently-active appointment. Notice the distinction between these two buttons – they can save you unnecessary searching.
