NAICS Codes

The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) was jointly developed by the United States, Mexico, and Canada to facilitate compilation of economic and labor market information across national boundaries. It replaced the SIC coding system in 1997 and was comprehensively updated in 2002.

For more information, including a chart that cross references NAICS and SIC codes, see the NAICS website at www.census.gov/epcd/www/naics.

By applying a NAICS code to the Company record of client companies, you can analyze performance among companies of a similar type (number of injuries per 100 employees, for example). You can look up the appropriate code using the search function, SYSTOC report, or the NAICS website.
