Departments and Contacts

This screen contains information about departments and contacts at a company. For SYSTOC purposes, there is no difference between a department and a contact record.

Label Description
Dept ID To handle multiple contacts at a department, structure the Dept ID to keep the contacts together. For example, if you need to specify a second contact at the MAINT department, the second one could have a Dept ID of MAINT2.

If you use SYSTOC for employee health for just one company, you have probably put departments in at the company level, and departments/contacts will be strictly for contacts.

For drug screenings, use a standard Dept ID, DER (Designated Employer Representative), for the drug testing contact person at every company.

Billing Address After saving the demographic portion of the Dept/Contact screen, the company's billing address copies automatically. If the department's billing address is different, click the Edit Bill Address button.
If the company requests some types of invoices be routed to a different billing address than normal:
  • create a department to store the extra address;
  • in the tasks attached to the affected company-specific procedure, specify the ID of that department. See Billing Addresses
