Editable Grids

Single click in a cell to edit; the selected cell is outlined in black. In some fields you can directly edit the contents: as you begin to type, the previous contents are erased. If you want to edit without erasing, double-click in the cell at the spot you want to change. The cursor will be a thin bar that you can move using the right or left arrows. When the bar is in the appropriate position, make the desired changes. Undo unwanted changes by pressing Cancel or Esc. Press Save to keep your changes.

Some editable fields have drop-down menus; clicking in these cells displays a downward facing arrow. Click on the arrow to view the options and select an entry. Other cells display a button with three dots when you click in them. Click the ellipses button to search for desired information.

Inside certain grids, right-clicking displays one or more of the following editing options: Select All, which selects all the fields in the grid; Autofill Selection, which copies the value in the first selected field to the field or fields that are also selected below it; and Clear Selection, which allows you to delete the entries in selected cells of the grid. When working on the Orders screen, right-clicking also gives you the option of filtering on the selected patient, whose name is shown on the menu option (such as Filter on Patient 'Baker, Jennifer' ).
