Define Drug Test PDF for Company Procedure Tasks

Decide if you want staff to use a specially programmed PDF form to complete drug test record details and automatically create the drug test record when the form is saved. HL7 Drug Test Interface users may want to use a lab-specific drug test PDF form, if one is available for the laboratory to which they are interfacing. All users may use the Drug Test PDF form.

A best practice is to add the drug test record before sending a specimen to the laboratory for testing. A drug test PDF form minimizes time spent on the specimen collection process because the record is automatically added when you save the PDF form. If you decide not to use the PDF form, the drug test record should be manually added. See more details about the Specimen Collection process later in this guide.
