Tracking HL7 Exchange Transmissions

When data is transmitted from SYSTOC or received into SYSTOC, the order displays the status of the transmission, and a memo containing additional information such as error details. This applies to all modules in the HL7 Exchange.

Status Field

The following messages display in the Status field of a standard order grid:

Message	Description
ADT Error	Indicates an error, with details in the memo.
ADT Send	Tells the HL7 Exchange to send the ADT data.
ADT Sent	Indicates the HL7 Exchange has sent the ADT message.
CCR Error	Indicates an error, with details in the memo.
CCR Send	Tells the HL7 Exchange to send the CCR data.
CCR Sent	Indicates the HL7 Exchange has sent the CCR message.
HL7 Send	Tells the HL7 Exchange to send the order. Orders go through a validation process to make sure there is enough information to send it.
HL7 Sent	Indicates the HL7 Exchange has sent the message but has not received the acknowledgment.
HL7 Order Ack	Indicates the lab or radiology facility has acknowledged receipt of the request.
HL7 Error	Indicates an error, with details in the memo.
HL7 Results Received	Indicates the results have been received. Clinical laboratory results are placed in the Lab Results - HL7 screen. Radiology results are images that are attached to a new order. Drug Test results are placed in the Drug Test screen.
HL7 Cancel	Tells the HL7 Exchange to send a cancellation message to the laboratory or radiology facility.
HL7 Order Canceled	Indicates the laboratory or radiology facility has received the cancellation order.

HL7 Information Field

The memo field in the order titled HL7 Information stores error messages or other information messages from the sending and receiving process. To access the message from the HL7 Information memo, highlight the memo field and then click the ellipsis button.
