Tracking FMLA with SYSTOC

FMLA can be tracked in SYSTOC through Authorizations. To do this, you must add an Injury for each employee being tracked. Because these are not typical injuries, make sure to indicate that they are non-work comp so they do not affect your work comp statistics and the FMLA information does not appear in iSYSTOC.

According to Family and Medical Leave Act guidelines, eligible employees are entitled to take up to 12 work weeks of unpaid leave in any 12-month period for the following reasons:

  • Birth and care of a newborn child
  • A child placed with an employee for adoption or foster care
  • Care of an immediate family member with a serious health condition
  • Medical leave when the employee is unable to work because of a serious health condition
