Editing the Orders

Orders contain some editable fields. If any order seems inaccurate (for example, you know that the order is for an injury but there is no Injury ID), you can modify it.

All white fields in the Orders grid can be edited. To edit a field, click on it once. The cell will be outlined in black and you can type in it directly. If the cell contains data, do not try to highlight or erase it; typing in new data will eradicate the previous contents. Once you are in edit mode, you can use the arrow keys to move to any other white cell. If small dots appear on the right after you click on a cell (in the Location ID cell, for example), you can click once on the dots and view a searchable list. In other cells (like those in the Section column), a small downward arrow may appear. Clicking on the arrow will also display a list, but no search capabilities will be available. When you are done, be sure to save your changes by clicking the Save button (or use Ctrl S). If you decide not to keep your changes, use the Cancel button. You must use one of these methods to leave edit mode.

You may wish to add an order prior to billing. See Adding Orders from the Orders Screen for a complete description of this process.
