Creating New Authorizations

There are multiple ways to access the authorizations screen to enter a new authorization.

Once that information is saved, authorizations can easily be applied to appointments when the patient arrives for treatment, see Using Authorizations. If any visits have already occurred that should have been authorized, you need to manually apply the Authorization ID to the Treatment record.

The table displays the various access methods for recording the initial authorization information.

Starting Point Next Step Final Steps

Appointment Register , select patient and first applicable injury/illness-related appointment

Click Treatment button
  • Click Lookup on Auth ID
  • Add
  • Save
  • Back

Authorization numbers should have copied into the Treatment

  • Save
  • Back

Select Injury > Authorizations

Add (Ctrl+A)

  • Complete the screen
  • Save

The authorizations are now ready to be used by applying to current or future treatments.

Injury > Treatment, select first applicable treatment for injury/illness

  • Click Lookup on Auth ID
  • Add authorization
  • Save
  • Back

Authorization codes should have copied into the Treatment.
