Patients

All of the options in the Patient Folder apply to patients and their care. The Patient Summary option stores patient demographics, guarantor and job information, and account data. Medical History contains an overview of individual medical history data, while the Allergies/Conditions, Vital Signs, and Medications options contain data entry screens for those specific topics.

As in most sections of SYSTOC, if you are already working with a patient's data, that patient's ID will copy into the search box automatically, making it easy to select the appropriate item to view.

When working in this section, the following points are important to remember:
  • If you are using random drug pools or monitoring for employee health, you must keep the patient's job history data accurate and enter a termination date when the person leaves the job.
  • If there is a guarantor other than the patient, be sure that guarantor is also in the patient database, and that the guarantor's insurance is listed in the patient's account.
  • Accounts are created automatically when you add a patient, but you should visit the account section to enter applicable insurance plans before creating the first invoice.
