New OSHA Webpage for Preventing Construction-related Falls

[Posted 10/06/2008] This new webpage gathers numerous resources together for both employers and employees to help prevent construction-related falls. Construction sites are well-known for falls, hundreds of which are fatal. According to Bureau of Labor Statistics, there were 442 construction-site fatalities resulting from falls in 2007. Unfortunately, the number of fatal falls continues to rise.

These falls can be prevented, however, and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) has resources available in English and in Spanish. QuickCards are one such resource and provide detailed safety tips on specific construction activities.
