Promoting the Safe Use of Medication

[Posted 10/27/2008] The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has created a new webpage to be a single-access point for drug safety information. It is designed to assist both consumers and healthcare professionals in making appropriate decisions on medication use.

The Postmarket Drug Safety Information for Patients and Providers webpage contains numerous links to websites, documents, and databases. This site is divided into several sections, including:

  • Drug Labeling

  • Registries and Clinical Trials

  • Latest Safety Information

  • Warnings and Recalls

  • Regulation and Guidance Documents

The FDA created the webpage in accordance with the Food and Drug Administration Amendments Act of 2007.
