Bug Bombs Can Be Dangerous (to Humans)

[Posted 10/21/2008] The Centers for Disease Control has published in the October 17 MMWR a study on the injuries and illnesses resulting from use of total release foggers (bug bombs) at home and at work. Over 400 cases from eight states were analyzed.

These bug bombs are often a combination of pyrethroid/pyrethrin and flammable aerosol propellants. Their misuse typically results in acute, usually temporary health effects of not only the user but also bystanders/co-workers.
