New CDC Vaccine Safety Website

[Posted 03/06/2008] The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has launched a new website to help the public better understand vaccine safety, to provide related resources, and to discuss public health concerns. This site offers detailed information, pertinent links, and a method to report a suspected vaccine reaction (part of the CDC Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System).

This site also “informs CDC partners and the public about the unique niche ISO [CDC’s Immunization and Safety Office] fills in the scientific community, performing exciting and critical research.” The ISO identifies possible vaccine side effects, conducts research, and determines the potential impact on public health.
