MRO Self-Assessment Evaluation

On August 1, 2001, specimen collectors and Medical Review Officers (MROs) in federally-regulated drug testing programs face new training requirements that end the practice of allowing untrained personnel to perform these functions. Personnel who have not performed specimen collection or MRO functions before August 1, 2001, must complete training before starting to perform those functions. This is a significant change from previous practices.

To help address requirements posed by the new regulations, Dr. William Newkirk has developed the MRO Self-Assessment Evaluation, which is available at Occupational Health Research’s web site: www.systoc.com.  To show you how the exam is structured, we feature five of the 50 questions below:

Medical Review Officer Self-Assessment Examination: A Sampler of Questions

Instructions: This examination has 50 questions. For each question, there is one correct answer. Click on what you feel is the best answer for each question.
